The weather this week is been changing. It begins to define the change of season, we think it is because the winds are starting to change from north (cold season) to south (summer), in the morning we have winds from west and later it turns to north winds but they are not strong and this has not affect the fishing activity, temperatures tend to increase some days is been 88?? F. Last Tuesday we had low temperatures, this comment comes in relation to changes with different variants.
Yellowtail, fishermen who have had the opportunity to visit Loreto in recent weeks have been able to enjoy excellent fishing; Fishing sites from 35 miles north of Loreto from Pulpito area with very good fishing results, this is because sometimes they are eating near shore and it is when you have a chance to catch Yellowtail, snappers and Bass (Cabrillas) on this site were reported catches of 22 Yellowtail weighing between 20 and 35 pounds. an Bruno reef 15 miles north of Loreto a good fishing spot but more exclusive Yellowtail catches on this site have not been so good and this is because a school of sea lions are doing damage when the Yellowtail hooks up, this sea lions try to steal them. Carmen Island one of the areas that has had good fishing for weeks, this week was not the exception because on the north side and the east side excellent captures were registered from 3 to 15 pieces weighting the same as the pulpit area captures. Catalina Island about 30 miles south of Loreto the captures around the north side close from the shore has been very good, and they also have had the opportunity to capture Snapper and Bass. As you can see we are having very good fishing this days and we can tell it will be a very good season for Dorado for the factors that we are counting on like seaweed and different types of bait.
Snapper and Bass, in the areas mentioned before, with less success in the area Bajo de San Bruno and the fishing of Snapper it was low from the middle of the week to the day, Bass stayed well like Yellowtail.
