The weather this past week has been warm with temperatures up to 81F and early in the morning the west winds have blown but around noon this wind calms down.
Yellowtail, we have had excellent Yellowtail fishing in places like Coronado Island, Carmen Island on the north and east sides of the island in places like Loto, in la vaca reef, Punta lobos, and Punta Perico all this places close to Loreto. The yellowtail is been abundant; some boats have caught 15 pieces of them and between 20 to 35 pounds. One 41 pounds last Saturday was the winner in one local tournament.
Dog Snapper and Bass (cabrilla) have been good in those islands and the best way to do that is trolling the live bait close to the shore with 80 pounds leader, slider sinker and 6/0 hook. Dorado, we have started the capture of this fish and in good sizes between 20 to 35 pounds at the east of Loreto also in this same area sail fish, we have good signs of a good dorado season because we have a lot of seaweed all around the coast line as you know seaweed is important for a good capture of dorado.
We have a new e-mail on the web page. reservations@arturosport.com
Mackerel: Available on Coronado Island or at the harbor, catch your own or buy it early on the morning at the marine, at the price of 10 pieces for $ 15.00 U.S. and 20 pieces for $ 25.00 U.S or Sardine on the same place.
