Most of the days in this week we had a north wind on the noon time but in the morning we have a nice weather conditions, Temperatures for today are: minimum 62 F. maximum 88 F.
Yellowtail (jurel)
This week is one of the best fishing yellowtail fishing, most of the spot on north east of Carmen, North of Catalina Island, 15 miles north Loreto on the San Bruno reef and 35 miles north on the Pulpito area and San Ildefonso Island It reported excellent catches of Yellowtail, the yellowtails weigh 20 to 40 pounds, depending on the site of the capture.
We have boats with 3 to 15 yellowtail catches per boat in on day fishing without bottom fish. The yellowtail batting most the time with live mackerel or big eye and we recommend buy the bait so you do not have to waste time.
This week the Yellowtails are in different areas it is just needed luck to find them and this week have a more hungry or cooperating much more.
Deep sea fishing like Snapper (Pargo) and Bass (Cabrillas) has been captured in the same areas of Yellowtail and the areas with more success are Punta Norte Catalina Island and San Ildefonso Island.
Last Sunday we went fishing to Punta Lobos Carmen Island and we had very good time fishing, catch 1 Yellowtail , 3 bass and 5 dog snappers, all these catches did with the live bait troll and . This week showed a photo of our good fishing day with one nice snapper.
Live bait, we recommend to buy it in the morning before fishing, so you do not have to waste time capturing bait. The prices are as follow 10 pieces $15.00 or 20 pieces for $25.00.
